Remote Work Trends Statistic – Benefits of working remotely
Ever wonder about how remote workers from around the world feel about remote work, the benefits, and struggles that come along with it?
There are 2000 people who responded to this survey. Let’s read the Remote Work Statistics 2022 to dig into all of the insights about what it’s really like to be a remote worker in 2022.
Find out some impressive parameters through the remote work statistics 2022 of Nomad List:
Employees Overwhelmingly Recommend Remote Work
97% said they would like to work remotely at least some of the time for the rest of their careers. They also recommend remote work to others in their lives, from coworkers and friends to family members. Look at these remote work statistics in 2022.
A flexible schedule is the biggest benefit of remote work
Forty percent of respondents rate “a flexible schedule” as the biggest benefit of remote work. “Having a flexible schedule allows employees to juggle between work, hobbies, and time with friends, resulting in a positive work-life balance and also reducing workplace stress,”
Remote workers struggle with unplugging
Remote work isn’t always as Instagram-worthy as it may seem. In fact, many remote workers struggle with unplugging from their work, loneliness and communicating.
Remote workers may have location flexibility
In remote work statistics 2019, up to 84 percent of people choose to work from home, and only 16 percent choose to work at co-working spaces, coffee shops, and libraries. Then in the remote work statistics this year, the number of people choosing to work from home reduced to 59%, and up to 41% of people want to work remotely in co-working spaces.
That is the result after the Covid-19 epidemic passed. Moreover, this is also a sign of the development of co-working spaces, libraries, and coffee shops. You can see the remote work statistic below:
More Organizations are Planning a Remote Future
Organizations and employees are both looking forward to working remotely in the future. 86% of employees want a fully remote working environment or make it a priority to work remotely in the future. And up to 72% said their organization is planning some form of remote work for employees.
In remote work statistics 2021, up to 38% of employees do not know if their company plans to work remotely in the future. By 2022, that number has dropped to 19%. According to stat on remote working, working remotely is gradually becoming a trend.
Is Remote Career Growth More Difficult?
Many opinions about working remotely will affect career growth. In addition, remote work will be difficult because there are no mentoring as well as informal networking elements when working in the office. However, most people don’t care about that. Up to 55% of survey respondents said that remote work does not affect their career growth. Even up to 14% of these feel that working remotely makes their career less difficult.
However, 45% of people think that working remotely makes it harder for them to grow at work. The reason for this may be that their company is currently not providing career development opportunities for employees who work remotely. And in the future, these employees also want their company to improve this more.
