In recent years, Da Nang has become an ideal place for not only travelers but Digital Nomads community. For reasons – there are not only beautiful beaches and cheap prices (apart from Hanoi or HCMC), the tech community has also been growing by leaps and bounds there. Vietnam’s largest city is surrounded by the perfect harmony between the mountain and sea, filled with a strong foodie scene, new hotels and resorts popping up on a five-mile-long beach strip, numerous events & activities, and no shortage of digital nomad worthy coffee shops and Coworking Spaces.

The interesting news is the fact that Da Nang ranks 15th in Top 52 Destinations in 2019 by the New York Times. Remote workers and digital nomads have more reason to visit and live there.

II. WHERE TO STAY: Accommodation in Da Nang

On the coastal side of the city, you’ll see new growth every day. The My An neighborhood is very popular among expats. As of right now, there are many new apartment buildings being built every day, finding an apartment in Da Nang is easy as long as you’re staying for at least a month.

You can check AirBnB and you can find lots of rooms are all there is to offer. Starting as low as 300$/month for a private room in the city and rising from there. But the price of AirBnB is hugely overpriced due to Da Nang being more a holiday spot. You can get better deals if you look hard enough.

It doesn’t matter so much where you stay in Da Nang – the city is small enough with not too much traffic that you can get anywhere in under 15 minutes via motorbike.

The best place to stay would be the area near My Khe beach called My An/An Thuong. This is an expat hotspot with many western restaurants, expat bars, and coffee shops throughout. But, if you want to spend more on your accommodation or nightlife party, then we’d recommend staying riverside in the Hai Chau district, close to all the action.
